If you applying for the childcare subsidy please ensure that all forms are completed and returned to your case worker prior to starting. Until written approval has been granted the parent must pay the full fee charged by the Centre.
It is your responsibility to renew the forms and return them on time. If your subsidy is cancelled or reduced please advise the Centre immediately, as we do not receive any notification from WINZ.
If a debt is incurred through the WINZ payment then it is the parents responsibility to pay this NOT WINZ. The Centre has application forms in the office.
Information - FAQ
Yes. The Centre is registered with the Healthy Heart Awards with the NZ Heart Foundation. The Centre provides nutritious meals for the children, that follow the food and beverage classification system. We have a 4 weekly menu cycle that changes from the winter to a summer menu when daylight saving happens. Meals include morning tea, lunch with a dessert and afternoon tea.
Any food allergies or cultural requirements need to be discussed at time of enrolment.
We have a breakfast club running from 7am – 8am, parents are to supply the breakfast.
Yes. The Centre has a first aid kits throughout all areas for minor accidents, there is always at least one staff member on duty who holds a current first aid certificate. Regular medical attention is the responsibility of the parent.
Medication can only be administered to your child when it is written into the medication book and signed by the parent. Give the medication to the staff and please do not leave medicine in the children’s bag.
If your child has asthma, the parents/caregivers are required to complete a centre’s asthma plan.
- A bag with two changes of named clothes, just in case of mishaps.
- Please name your child’s shoes, as we have many children that have the same size.
- A bag of disposable nappies a week (if your child is in nappies), or at least 5 nappies a day. If your child requires a sleep nappy, please put one in the bag daily.
- Cuddly blankets, toys or dummies etc for sleep times.
- Formula powder if required.
- Breakfast if your child is attending the breakfast club.
- Naming your child’s clothes with initials on the tags will be sufficient, this will keep our lost property to a minimum.
Before starting at the Centre we recommend that you come for a visit or two and see the Centre in action. The teachers will be happy to have you visit. You do not need to make an appointment to visit the Centre.
Once you have decide that you wish to join our family, you will need to complete an enrolment form with either one of the team leaders or the manager. The availability of places will be confirmed to see if we can accommodate your needs. There are no minimum days.
Please bring your child’s Well Being book or a copy of their immunisation certificate and a their birth certificate for us to copy before they start and of course the first weeks fee.
Tuition is charge Monday to Friday and must be paid no later than Thursday,tuition is to be paid a week in advance. Methods of payments include Eftpos, automatic payments,and internet banking. Please ask the Centre for account details. As from 2013 you can no longer claim childcare as a rebate on your tax returns.
The parents are required to pay for statutory holidays, annual holidays and illness.
